President Barack Obama wants the first two years of community college to be free for many Americans, but his plan to make that happen is mostly talk for now

The president proposed the idea at Pellissippi State Community College in Tennessee on Friday after announcing the plan in a video posted on Facebook Thursday night. The proposal would reportedly cost $60 billion over a 10-year period. Around nine million students could take advantage of the program if all states take part, according to a White House statement.
