Playoff rematch alert.
The Chicago Bulls travel to our nation's capital on Friday night for their second matchup of the season against the Washington Wizards. The first meeting between these two teams on Dec. 23 ended with the Bulls leaving Washington victorious. Now the Wizards are looking to return the favor.
After enduring a three-game losing streak at the hands of Western Conference powerhouses, the Wizards are currently working on a two-game winning streak. They own the league's fourth-best home record, a mark they look to improve upon against one of the only four opponents who have unseated them at Verizon Center.
The Bulls, meanwhile, enter having won 10 of their last 12. They're now 25-11 and have sole possession of second place in the Eastern Conference. But the Wizards trail them by a mere half-game. This contest, then, will go a long way in determining the race for second.
Will the Bulls take down the Wizards on their own turf once more, strengthening their hold on the East's No. 2 seed? Or is Washington primed to move up the ladder yet again?
