As the market for premium over-the-ear headphones has become ever=more mainstream — powered in part by celebrity-driven audio models like Beats (recently acquired by Apple) — other major players are taking a fresh look at the space

Chief among them is Samsung, the South Korean electronics giants that took on Apple in the smartphone space and, at least by current accounts, has a winning record globally. Now Samsung, after an initial launch in Asia, has brought its headphone to the U.S. We recently took the entire collection for a spin through our music collection.
