Giants' Madison Bumgarner Records 1st World Series Shutout Since 2003

San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner continued his incredible run of postseason success in Sunday's Game 5 against the Kansas City Royals, recording the first individual shutout in a World Series since Josh Beckett tossed one for the Florida Marlins against the New York Yankees in 2003, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Fast making a name as one of the best big-game pitchers in MLB history, Bumgarner allowed just four hits and no walks in the 5-0 victory, with eight strikeouts on the night. Bumgarner is 4-0 in his four World Series starts, with the only run he's allowed coming courtesy of a solo home run by Royals catcher Salvador Perez in Game 1 of the ongoing series.
