Qualcomm Stadium will play host to an AFC West showcase as the San Diego Chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
San Diego (5-1) edged the Oakland Raiders 31-28 on the road this past Sunday in a dramatic finish that saw first-round rookie Jason Verrett earn his keep with a last-minute interception of Derek Carr. Branden Oliver, who rushed for 101 yards in the win, scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:56 remaining, and Philip Rivers passed for 313 yards and three touchdowns.
Kansas City (2-3) gave the San Francisco 49ers all they could handle in Week 5, but a pair of field goals from Phil Dawson pulled the Niners ahead to a 22-17 win. After scoring 75 points in their previous two games, the Chiefs were held to just 17.
The Chargers will be looking for their sixth straight win and fourth consecutive against the Chiefs, who suffered a 27-24 loss in overtime to San Diego in a regular-season finale at Qualcomm Stadium last December. San Diego has won its last six contests at home, but Kansas City will have the benefit of rest after coming off a bye the previous week.
