BERLIN — Remember Sony's lens-style cameras — the snap-on ones that look like lenses and can be mounted on your smartphone? Sony didn't abandon the concept it launched in September 2013; rather, it just added two more cameras to its lineup
The two new models are the ILCE-QX1 and the DSC-QX30. The QX1 has the same 20.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor as Sony's mirror-less interchangeable-lens cameras.
It's essentially an adapter with a sensor and a flash; you need to add one of Sony's E-mount lenses to take photos, but that means you get versatility previously unseen on any smartphone camera.
