What does a country smell like? London Heathrow has a new exhibit that tries to answer that question: It's a globe that shares the smells of the world.
The "scent globe" is in the departure lounge at Heathrow's new Terminal 2, which opened five months ago, and has already seen about 3.5 million passengers.
While the idea may seem a bit strange, scents are a very powerful part of both experiencing a new place and feeling at home
“Heathrow connects the UK to 180 destinations in 28 countries, and carries over 72 million passengers a year," said Normand Boivin, COO of Heathrow airport.
