A Dallas nurse who recovered from Ebola reunited with her dog Bentley on Saturday, after the canine was quarantined until doctors determined that he was also free of the disease
Nina Pham contracted Ebola after caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person to die from the disease in the United States. Pham was sent to the National Institutes of Health in Maryland for treatment before being released on Oct. 24. Meanwhile, Bentley was kept at Hensley Field, a decommissioned naval air base, and cared for by Dallas Animal Services workers who pet and played with the dog while wearing protective suits.
