GoDaddy finally goes public — and live streams it on Periscope

GoDaddy may looks like a startup, but the company, at 18 years old, is a village elder among techies. That may explain why GoDaddy used Periscope during its long-awaited debut on the New York Stock Exchange.


Eighteen years after launching and nine years after its first failed attempt at a public offering, GoDaddy's stock began trading on Wednesday, opening at $26.15 per share, a gain of more than 30% from its IPO price.
