The Memphis Grizzlies used their trademark physical play to cruise to a 100-86 Game 1 win at home on Sunday over the banged-up Portland Trail Blazers.
Beno Udrih led the home team with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, while Marc Gasol posted a full stat line of 15 points, 11 boards and seven assists.
On the other end, the Grizzlies completely shut down Portland star Damian Lillard, who finished the game with just 14 points on 5-of-21 shooting. LaMarcus Aldridge posted a game-high 32 points, but he needed 34 shots to reach that total.
