The death of a Palestinian leader following a confrontation with Israel security forces has drawn international condemnation after video of the incident circulated online.
Ziad Abu Ein, a Palestinian Cabinet member, died after a brief scuffle with security forces during a protest in the West Bank against Israeli settlements in the area. One grabbed Abu Ein by the neck and he later collapsed and died while being taken to the hospital.
The struggle took place outside Turmis Ayya near Ramallah, and videos from the scene offer insights into the moments preceding Abu Ein's death. According to witnesses, Israeli security forces fired tear gas at dozens of protesters at one point in the demonstration.
