LG's curved monitors: Perfect for that super villain lair

Curved screens may be a fad, but they clearly haven't peaked yet. Hot on the heels of Samsung's curved all-in-one PC comes a pair of curved monitors from LG, and each has something special about it.


The curved 34-inch UltraWide monitor (model 34UC97) is a big one: The screen has an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio, giving users a much wider field of view to work with. The display boasts Quad HD resolution, which in this case means 3,440 x 1,440. That's not quite 4K, but it's better than HD.



The monitor has a Thunderbolt 2 port for connection to Macs, and LG says the panel is capable of displaying 99% of the sRGB color space, the standard for displaying color on the Internet. Read more...
