Southwest flight diverted after a baby was born on airplane

One newborn already has quite the humblebrag under its belt: diverting a plane several hundred miles away from its destination


A woman gave birth on a Southwest Airlines flight on Tuesday, prompting the crew to divert the Phoenix-bound flight from San Francisco to an early landing in Los Angeles.



The woman went into labor shortly after the plane took off from San Francisco International Airport, and luckily, a nurse and a doctor were among the passengers; they helped with the delivery


After the plane landed in LA, the mother and the baby were transported to a hospital. They are both in good condition, TV station KTLA reports. Read more...
