Actor Christopher Lee, 92, releases heavy metal Christmas track

LONDON — Think perennial Christmas classics might sound better voiced by Dracula, and backed with Slayer-esque guitars? If so, you're in luck.


At the tender age of 92, actor Christopher Lee of Hammer Horror films, The Wicker Man, Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings fame, just unveiled a new festive track, in what's fast becoming a tradition.



This year's offering, called "Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing," appears on a new video roundup of Lee's yuletide classics.


Samples of "The Little Drummer Boy," "Jingle Hell," and, randomly, a version of "My Way" all feature on the compilation, as the nonagenarian shreds his way up to Christmas day. The new track clocks in at the 1 minute, 50 second mark. Read more...
