Fireball meteor whizzes over Japan

A meteor was seen in the night sky over western Japan on Monday



After reviewing footage of the event, experts at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, having reviewed footage of the event, said the meteor was likely a "fireball meteor," meaning that it was a fragment of an asteroid that burns vigorously upon entering Earth’s atmosphere.
