Safarova vs. Kvitova: Score, Highlights from Wimbledon 2014 Women's Semifinals

The ladies' draw on the grass courts of Wimbledon is down to its final four players, and you can follow all the live action from Thursday's first semifinal match right here.

No. 6 seed Petra Kvitova knows a thing or two about Grand Slam events.

The 24-year-old Czech captured the championship at Wimbledon in 2011, and she's advanced to the semis of both the Australian and French Opens during her career.

Kvitova easily dispatched of Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in straight sets, 6-1, 7-5, in the quarters to advance to her third Wimbledon semifinal. By booking a trip to the final, she would have a chance to join Venus and Serena Williams as the only active players on the WTA Tour with two Wimbledon crowns.

No. 23 Lucie Safarova doesn't have the same pedigree, but she's the feel-good story of the ladies' draw. This is her deepest run at a Grand Slam title and her deepest since a quarterfinal appearance at the 2007 Australian Open.

She hasn't had an overly difficult road to this point—she did upset No. 10 seed Dominika Cibulkova in the third round—taking out No. 22 Ekaterina Makarova , 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinal. The task becomes much more difficult on Thursday against Kvitova , whom she is 0-5 against in her career.

Live coverage will begin here at 8 a.m. ET.

You can watch live on ESPN.
