Live-tweeting is a fairly new phenomenon, but if you watch the news, sports, reality TV or the Oscars, you're already very familiar with it. Basically, live-tweeting involves watching an event in person, on TV or via the web and either offering or participating in a play-by-play of the action — and more importantly, crafting color commentary for your audience.


It can be a new form of real-time journalism, a sort of mashup of sportscaster narration and immediate analysis. Throughout, you’re working to share the most important pieces of news and insight.
