Yet again, the Los Angeles Dodgers have seen their top two prospects make headlines. This week, it is for two divergent reasons.
Joc Pederson is much closer to the big leagues than Corey Seager is, and therefore their roles in the news are different. With the defensive struggles of current center fielders Andre Ethier and Scott Van Slyke , theories abound about just how soon we’ll see Pederson manning the middle of the outfield.
Seager is still just 20 years old, and he was the starting shortstop for the USA Team in Sunday’s Futures Game. It is a mark of his talent that he was selected for the honor despite his young age.
