England's World Cup chances were officially ended on Friday after Costa Rica beat Italy 1-0 to remove any mathematical hopes the Three Lions might have had of squeezing through the group on the final day.
Unsurprisingly, England's newspapers did not take the news well, even if it was not a huge surprise. Cast your eyes over Saturday's back pages:
