For the 15th time in his career, John Cena is a world champion after he won the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, per the WWE Network:

Once again, Kane's purpose was to do The Authority's bidding. First, he helped Seth Rollins win the MITB ladder match to earn a WWE World Heavyweight Title match. In the main event, he attempted to eliminate the competition to make Randy Orton's job as easy as possible.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon had a ringside seat, which made you believe the fix was in, per Justin Roberts:
That all added another wrinkle to the drama.
Near the end of the match, it looked as if Orton was going to have a golden road to the title after Kane dispatched Roman Reigns from the ring. However, Cena came back and hit both Orton and Kane with an Attitude Adjustment, which allowed him time to climb the ladder and win the titles.
Many fans will likely be upset with the predictability of the outcome, but looking at who took part in the match, Cena winning was the most logical outcome.
With Rollins' win earlier in the night, it was always unlikely that an Authority figure like Kane or Orton would follow up with a victory. In addition, the younger guys like Reigns, Cesaro and Bray Wyatt weren't in a position to carry the belts, either. They don't have the stature or momentum yet to have earned such an honor.
Cena is a safe pair of hands until one of those guys are more prepared to be the face of the company.
There's also the specter of Brock Lesnar looming. Sooner or later, he'll make his return, and when he does, he'll fight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It wouldn't make much sense to have a young guy win the title, only to have him drop it to Lesnar after a month or two.
With Cena, a quick title reign will do nothing to hurt his star level.

On paper, an Authority/Cena feud doesn't look too appetizing, but WWE found a way to make Orton a compelling heel again, so maybe the company can make this work, too.
