A Kansas City Royals ball boy learned his lesson the hard way on Sunday, and later in the game the memory of his mistake was clearly still haunting him.
In the top of the fourth inning, the ball boy fielded a ball hit by the New York Yankees' Brian Roberts and gave it to a little kid. The only problem with that is that it was a fair ball, which meant Roberts would be awarded a double. When a foul ball came his way in the bottom of the fifth inning, he wanted no part of the action.
A rookie mistake will certainly shake one's confidence, but the best thing to do is get back out there.
