British Airways' plan for better long-distance flights? Mindfulness

Travel can be stressful, which is why British Airways is focusing on health and wellness as it launches a new long-distance route.


The airline is launching a mindfulness program — including calming in-flight entertainment and health-conscious food options — in conjunction with its new service between San Francisco and London


Spending 11 hours on a plane isn't anyone's definition of relaxing, but the airline is in earnest.



“Mindfulness has been shown to lower stress and reduce its effects on the brain, improve both mental and physical well-being, help you sleep, think more clearly, reduce inflammation through the body and much more," British Airways' mindfulness consultant Mark Coleman told Mashable. Read more...
