As someone who's had dreads (there's nothing dreadful about my hair) locs* for more than 10 years, I've heard every question, misconception, and regulation surrounding my hair. (Yes, it's real. No, you cannot touch it.) As they say, sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying, which is why this "Daily Show" segment on the latest military regulations is my new favorite.
This clip is from "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and features the hilarious Jessica Williams. Her two strand twists are everything.
*While this video uses the term "dreadlocks," I'm more comfortable with the shorted version of "locs" because it doesn't carry the negative connotations of the style being dirty, smelly, or "dreadful."
