SYDNEY — Cat lovers, remain calm. There is a new ball of fluffy joy in town and it isn't another meme. Move over Grumpy Cat, Australia's first cat cafe is opening on Thursday in Melbourne so locals can finally get their fix of real-life feline joy.

Cat cafes are old news in Asia, with the first opening in Taiwan in 1998 and spreading across the continent. Today, there are at least 39 throughout Tokyo. Earlier this year, America rejoiced as the country opened its hearts to a joint partnership between felines and humans.
