Iceland is simultaneously one of the most beautiful and desolate landscapes in the world
The Icelandic scenery in wintertime is typically blanketed with white ice and snow. But for a brief period, the Holuhraun volcano erupts into a fiery mass of hot lava the size Manhattan, splitting the ground.
