But, thanks to GoPro and former Cal pole vaulter Allison Stokke, you can get a dizzying sense of what it feels like

The 80-second video embedded above shows Stokke performing a pole vault from multiple angles. The best snippet, though, comes at the 45-second mark, when a camera atop Stokke's head shows what she really sees. Pulled back to slow motion, it's actually quite majestic
