'The Lego Movie' announces director and title for the sequel

Here's some awesome news: The Lego Movie is set to return in 2018 with Rob Schrab (Community and Parks and Recreation) making his feature directorial debut.


The follow-up will be called, imaginatively, The Lego Movie Sequel.



The announcement was made Tuesday evening by Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner Bros. Pictures.


Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo who wrote and directed the original - and kept us amused during awards season while the film was snubbed at the Oscars - are still on board. They're writing the movie and serving as producers alongside returning producers Dan Lin and Roy Lee. Read more...
