Here's another argument for only traveling with a carry-on bag: American Airlines failed to load passenger luggage on a number of flights departing from Miami for several hours on Friday.
Hundreds of passengers arrived at their destination, only to find empty carousels in baggage claim
“The conveyor belt system in Miami had some kind of breakdown [Friday] morning,” American Airlines spokesperson Joshua Freed told the International Business Times “It meant the passenger bags couldn’t move through the system for several hours.”
It's bad enough to find that your bag didn't make the trip with you, but travelers are also saying that American failed to communicate clearly that there was an issue. Fliers posted on Twitter and Facebook that they waited hours before learning what happened. Read more...
