BlackBerry is finally growing its workforce again.
The smartphone maker notified employees that it has finished its long restructuring process and plans to begin "adding headcount in certain areas," according to a memo sent Friday and reported by Reuters on Tuesday
"We have completed the restructuring notification process, and the workforce reduction that began three years ago is now behind us," John Chen, BlackBerry's CEO, wrote in the memo.

BlackBerry had slashed thousands of jobs — reportedly 60% of its workforce — since 2011 in an effort to cut operating costs and attempt to find some footing in the fight against competitors like Apple, Google and Samsung.
