The Alabama Crimson Tide and West Virginia Mountaineers will soon take the field at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia.
Last season, Alabama fell just shy of another national championship appearance, so Nick Saban and the Tide look to open 2014 on a winning note.
West Virginia crawled to a 4-8 finish in 2013, but quarterback Clint Trickett leads a hopeful Mountaineers squad under fourth-year head coach Dana Holgorsen .
