A Royal Air Force fighter jet was summoned to escort a Qatar Airways passenger plane into England's Manchester Airport on Tuesday after its pilot reported a possible device on board.
Police say they have arrested a man on suspicion of making a "hoax bomb threat" after the flight landed.

There were 269 passengers and 13 crew on board Qatar Airways Flight 23 from Doha, Qatar, which made a safe landing.
"An incoming plane has been escorted into the airport by the Royal Air Force as a result of information received by the pilot about a possible device on board, Chief Superintendent John O'Hare of Greater Manchester Police said in a statement once the plane had landed, before it was determined to be a hoax.
