Original 'Resident Evil' Returns for Next-Gen and PC, 20 Years Later

The classic survival horror title Resident Evil is getting remastered for a second time, coming to previous and next-gen consoles as well as PC in 2015, Capcom confirmed Tuesday morning.


Resident Evil was originally released in 1996 for PlayStation, then upgraded in 2002 for GameCube. This new version will be an upgrade of that version, featuring 1080p graphics for next-gen consoles and PC, and 720p for current gen.



The new Resident Evil can be played in its original 4:3 aspect ratio or an upgraded 16:9. It will also feature new control schemes, but still offer fans the classic Resident Evil control options. Read more...
