1 Dead, 5 Injured After Plane Carrying Tourists Crashes in Arizona

A small plane carrying a group of tourists crashed while landing 200 miles north of Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday. One person died in the accident, while five others were injured, local police confirmed to Mashable


The Cessna 207 crashed around 400 to 500 feet short of the tarmac at the Page Municipal Airport due to strong winds, according to a Page Police Department official quoted by the Arizona Republic.



Five people were transported to Page Hospital. One died, while four suffered "minor injuries," and were treated and released. Another person with "undetermined injuries" was flown to another facility, the Flagstaff Medical Center, and is currently in "stable condition," according to a spokesperson for the Page Police Department.
