Sometimes Mistakes Are The Best Things That Can Happen To Us

This video reminds me of a chat I had with my cousin, a scientist who has been studying malaria cures for years. (That might be just a tad oversimplified. Sorry, Eric.) We were talking about his work a few months ago, and he told me that scientists are very used to dealing with failure. It's a major part of their work. They can dedicate themselves to an intensely tedious project for years only to find out that their hypothesis was way off base, and they have nothing to show for their work. Often what happens, though, is that they learn something else in the process of failing at their original goal.


Silver linings, people. There are some good life lessons in there, and in the video below.
