Photographer Kate Parker is like any other mom — she loves to take pictures of her daughters, Alice and Ella. While sifting through her many photos, she was always drawn to the most candid, dynamic shots that showed her girls being messy, loud or athletic.
It was Parker's daughters' ability to show perfection through imperfection that inspired her to create her photo series, Strong is the New Pretty.
"I wanted to celebrate these girls as they are, not how females are expected to be ... Being pretty or perfect is not important. Being who they are is," Parker told Mashable. Read more...
