After Saturday's Round 3 action, Phil Mickelson (-11) sits in third place in the 2015 Masters tournament, five strokes back from leader Jordan Spieth (-16). "Lefty" tied for best score of the day with 67 (five under par), and he wants to carry that momentum into Sunday as he challenges for the green jacket.
Apparently, he's got a secret weapon. In a post-round interview, Phil explained:
I like to wear dark colors on Sunday. I've won three times wearing a black shirt so I'll wear a black shirt tomorrow. It also helps me get more aggressive. Studies have shown, like NFL teams, when they wear black they have more penalties, it just gets you to play more aggressive. And that's what I need to do tomorrow is play more aggressive.
Will this truly give Phil an edge in the tournament's final round? We'll find out Sunday.
