Tuesday night's game against the Texas Rangers couldn't have gone much worse for Oakland A's third baseman Brett Lawrie.
Lawrie went to the plate four times in the game and had to walk away with the bat in his hand each time. Not only did he pick up the golden sombrero, but he managed to do so while seeing just 12 pitches.
The infielder took six called strikes and swung the bat on the other six pitches. On the plus side, he was able to at least make contact once by fouling a pitch off in his second at-bat.
Lawrie's fourth strikeout was the final out of the game, when he represented the tying run.
