Islamic State militants are carrying out "systematic rape and sexual violence" against Yazidi women, according to a Human Rights Watch report released on Wednesday.
The horrifying stories provided by survivors — some as young as 12 — detail the brutal and systematic tactics of sexual violence carried out by ISIS militants against the minority religious group.
"ISIS forces have committed organized rape, sexual assault and other horrific crimes against [Yazidi] women and girls," said Liesl Gerntholtz, women’s rights director, said in a statement released with the report.
