Despite playing just 10 games in the past two years after tearing his triceps in consecutive seasons, cornerback Charles Tillman will attempt to give it a go again in 2015, signing a contract with the Carolina Panthers.
The team announced the news on Thursday, noting that it's a one-year deal:

Tillman, 34, has spent his entire 12-year career up to this point with the Chicago Bears, accumulating 36 interceptions (eight of which he returned for touchdowns) and a whopping 42 forced fumbles, which has become his trademark over the years.
He's made two Pro Bowls and was named a first-team All-NFL selection by The Associated Press in 2012, when he forced 10 fumbles, recovered two fumbles and intercepted three passes. He and Tim Jennings combined to form a solid duo at cornerback for the Bears since 2010, though injuries and age have made them less effective in recent years. Kyle Fuller is emerging as an excellent corner, too.
That made Tillman expendable in Chicago, so it wasn't surprising that he dipped his toes in the free-agent waters. While Tillman's career is certainly coming to a close, Carolina believes he has another productive season in the tank.
If he can stay healthy, the man affectionately referred to as "Peanut" has the chance to prove the game hasn't passed him by just yet.
