Forget the trees blossoming and birds chirping. Auburn's A-Day is the true signal of spring beginning, and the 2015 edition has finally arrived.
On the heels of a forgettable 8-5 season that ended with four losses in their last five, the Tigers have no shortage of storylines following them into the 2015 season. Whether it's replacing star players or starting from scratch on one side of the ball, Saturday's game should be telling.
Does new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp have the personnel yet to push Auburn closer to the forefront of SEC defenses? Can quarterback Jeremy Johnson do something to give fans an indication that he can pick up where Nick Marshall left off? Which running back—if any—will emerge as the program's next great rusher?
Of course, those are only the start of the questions, and many of them won't be answered until the fall. But Saturday's spring game should at least begin to shed light on most major storylines.
Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET on SEC Network extended channels, but we'll keep you in the loop with updates below.
