Everything is wrong in the world now that Apple's prayer hands emoji no longer features its signature rays of light


The new, ray-less emoji made its official debut alongside a pack of new, more racially inclusive emoji on phones Wednesday, as the iOS 8.3 update rolled out



Though the emoji technically represents a high-five, savvy texters more commonly recognize the emoji as hands clasped in prayer. And although the emoji still resembles a symbol of prayer, its shimmering sun rays were key to the icon's appeal
