The Killers write 'the greatest holiday song ever recorded by non-chipmunks'

Every year since 2006, The Killers have composed a Christmas song to benefit the (RED) foundation to fight AIDS.

This year, Jimmy Kimmel got involved and, after donning Christmas sweaters to set the mood and wrangling Kimmel a bit, the team managed to write a touching new holiday classic. "Joel, the Lump of Coal" tells the story of a lump of coal who makes the best out of his fate as an undesirable stuffing-stocker and makes a friend along the way.

In Kimmel's words, it's "the greatest holiday song ever recorded by non-chipmunks."
