Rolling Stones saxophonist Bobby Keys is dead at 70

Saxophonist Bobby Keys, who can be heard on Rolling Stones albums dating as far back as 1969's Let It Bleed, died Tuesday at his home in Franklin, Tennessee. He was 70


Keys had been suffering from cirrhosis of the liver.



"The Rolling Stones are devastated by the loss of their very dear friend and legendary saxophone player, Bobby Keys," the band wrote in a statement. "Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960s. He will be greatly missed."


The news comes seven weeks after Keys was forced to take a break from touring with the band in October due to "being a bit under the weather." Read more...
