Not all drones are created equal

This post follows "An Illustrated History of the Drone," Mashable's first animated mini-documentary about the history of drone technology.


On Nov. 20, we hosted a Google Hangout with Peter W. Singer, top-notch strategist and senior fellow at the New America Foundation in Washington D.C., and Arthur Holland Michel, co-director of the Center for the Study of the Drone at Bard College in Anandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., about what the future looks like for unmanned aerial technology — or, rather, drones.


This got us thinking: Just how many types of drones are being built?
