This is a pretty great idea, considering that when I travel I just think about what museums and nightclubs are nearby. I can't wait to watch it!
Barnabe Geis and Nisha Toomey were fed up with seeing mostly bad news on TV.
So they decided to create a travel show that takes viewers to the front lines of social and environmental solutions.
"We're going to shoot a pilot we’ll use to pitch to producers and create a full episode we can distribute for free online to community groups and schools."
They want to profile change-makers around the world, but they've narrowed it down to innovators in India, Myanmar, or Bangladesh for the pilot.
Here's an example:
Much of Bangladesh floods during monsoon season, disrupting lives and devastating communities.
An architect named Mohammed Rezwan created a fleet of solar-powered floating schools, libraries, farms, training centers, and health clinics.
Rezwan turned floods into pathways to education, information, and technology. Isn't that awesome!?
"We think it’s important to talk about the problems the world is facing, but we should also be talking about the solutions!"
You can support their Kickstarter by Wednesday, Nov. 26, by clicking here.
