The Atlanta Hawks have sat atop the Eastern Conference for a large portion of the 2014-15 season, with many arguing they're the favorites to represent the East in the NBA Finals. A big reason for their success has been the performance of Paul Millsap.
The 30-year-old power forward looks set for a spell off the floor, however, after getting injured against the Nets.

Millsap Leaves Game vs. Nets
Saturday, April 4
According to the Hawks, Millsap suffered a shoulder injury versus the Nets and would not return.
Although he is the Hawks' leading scorer, one could argue that he isn't the team's most important player. Sure, Atlanta would be a worse team without him, but the damage would have been worse if it was Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll or Jeff Teague who went down.
The important thing is getting Millsap healthy for the playoffs, specifically the second round and beyond.
As good as the Cleveland Cavaliers have been of late, they can't catch Atlanta for the top seed. And the Hawks shouldn't have much problem dispatching the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers or whoever else grabs the No. 8 spot.
Millsap's absence would really become an issue once Atlanta advanced deeper into the postseason.
