Marrakech has a semi-arid climate, with mild winters and warm, dry summers. The average winter temperature is around 12 Celsius degree and in the summer around 23. Marrakech, also known as red or pearl city from the south, in Casablanca is the second largest city in Morocco. Word Marrakech is of Berber origin and means “Land of the Lord.” Located in the south-western part of the country it is stretching on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains. According to the latest census, the place has a population of 1,070,838 inhabitants. Like many North African cities, Marrakech has two main areas: the old town and modern part. Marrakech was founded in 1062 by Yusuf ibn Tashfin.

This exotic destination on the Mediterranean coast offers old walls, historic fortifications, crazy parties, camel train and variety of colours and aromas. Marrakech is known for good entertainment and rich history, but it is the purest Moroccan city. Bars are European with large plasma and terraces, roads are wide and clean and building are completely new. This city has the largest traditional market in Morocco and the largest square in whole Africa. In the morning there are local stalls, where you can buy goods with obligatory bargaining. At night the square is transformed into a huge music scene, where you can listen to African music and DJs.
