Southwest Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Blowing a Tire

A Southwest flight headed to Austin made an emergency landing at Dallas Love Field after blowing a tire on takeoff Friday. There were no injuries among the 125 passengers or crew on Southwest Flight 8.


The plane had to circle the airport as air traffic control surveyed the damage to the landing gear from the ground.



Emergency crews were on standby as the Boeing 737-700 came in to land soon after it had taken off from Dallas Love Field, according to the local NBC station.
