Keylor Navas, who completed his move to Real Madrid on Tuesday, bears more than a passing resemblance to a club icon, Santiago Bernabeu.
Bernabeu, after whom Real's stadium is named, was born in 1895 and had a long and successful playing career with the team as a striker in the early part of the 20th century.
He passed away in 1978.
Navas, the Costa Rica goalkeeper, was born eight years later, several thousand miles away, but this black-and-white shot shows that despite almost a century of Real Madrid history separating them, they still look remarkably similar.
