Manchester City's 5 Worst Summer Transfer Deals of the Last 10 Years

Since the arrival of Txiki Begiristain in October 2012, Manchester City have become extremely adept at transfer dealings. The club identifies targets well in advance of a transfer window and swoops quickly and effortlessly to secure their signatures. The last two summer windows have been a masterclass in how to sign players in the right manner.


It's not always been like that, though. City have sometimes appeared completely unprepared when it comes to landing targets, leading to a series of signings who underwhelmed and found a place on the list of the club's most infamous players.
